Jason Wu Chinoiserie Box Clutch

A recent trip to his native Taiwan served as a source of inspiration for Jason Wu, who intentionally strayed away from Asian influenced designs in the past, in an effort not to be pigeonholed. He approached the Fall collection with his trademark elegance and glamour, while being mindful of the costumey aesthetic that often emanates from Asian inspired designs. Rachel Roy Launches Footwear

On Monday, Rachel Roy launched her debut footwear collection for Fall. It's chock full of affordable designs that will surely get you noticed. The emphasis on individuality is certainly apparent in my favorite style, the Gillian Bootie. The classic black nubuck suede exterior is flawlessly accented with a golden metal toe accent. The result is a sleek yet sexy boot reminiscent of a time when Tom Ford designed for Gucci. The heel is 4.5", with a slight platform offering some minor relief. Last week, Tom Ford made his online debut at Neiman Marcus and I immediately rushed to the site to peruse the new collection. The Natalia Clutch instantly captivated my interest. It's sleek, yet glamorous design is exactly why we fell in love with Ford during his tenure at Gucci. Choose between classic black kidskin leather, a stunning reddish-orange sueded peccary leather or exotic natural anaconda skin. The interior is surprisingly spacious and with three separate compartments, as well as a zippered pocket, organization is a breeze. Manolo Blahnik Tim Boot

That's right ladies and gentlemen. Manolo Blahnik is reissuing the Tim Boot for Fall. Believe it or not, this shoe was actually my introduction to the designer. In 2003, I was still in high school, just outside of Washington D.C. I wasn't allowed to watch Sex and the City, so I didn't find out about Carrie's obsession with the brand until a few years later. I did, however, watch music videos. Living in an urban environment, of course Hip Hop culture was prevalent.

  

When J Lo wore the Manolo Blahnik Tim Boots in her Jenny From The Block video, every girl at my school collectively swooned. This shoe was the definition of Hip Hop fashion at the time - the perfect blend of rugged streetwear with glamour and sex appeal. For many years, urban fashion was strictly masculine, but this boot represented a change in the culture. Females finally had their own version of the ever popular Timberland boots, commonly called "Tims" by male rappers.          

Beyonce and Jay Z actually showcased their matching Tims in his Bonnie & Clyde video. The Manolo Blahnik Tim Boot is available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,175. Selita Ebanks: The Belle of the BET Awards

I couldn't bring myself to watch the show this year, but I did check out the red carpet arrivals and Selita Ebanks was my best dressed nominee in two glamorous gowns. The supermodel donned a stunning Falguni and Shane Peacock dress for the show, but opted for a classic white gown at the dinner, which she attended with her actor boyfriend, Terrence J. Both looks showed off her mile-long gams and unbelievably tiny waist. As the belle of the ball, it was fitting for her to carry Yves Saint Laurent's Belle Du Jour Clutch in metallic silver textured Kangaroo leather. The raised designer motif is classic YSL, or at least it used to be. Have you heard that the brand's Creative Director, Hedi Slimane, changed the official name to Saint Laurent Paris?
