Is it just me or has Christian Louboutin lost some of his appeal? Let's face it. His shoes have become a status symbol, which women only wear because nothing elicits envy quite like a red sole. Additionally, Louboutin has stated in several interviews that he places no emphasis on comfort, which is apparent to anyone who has worn his heels. Don't get me wrong. He has lovely designs, but they're becoming increasingly garish and absurdly overpriced. Take the new Justine Bag, for instance. No one appreciates the rocker chic trend as much I do, but it's completely over and hasn't been "in" for years. I mean, when was the last time we lusted over a studded bag? Personally, I don't even find his leather to be of the highest quality. Oh, and why does that shopper have top handles and shoulder straps? To add insult to injury, these bags are available for preorder at Saks Fifth Avenue for an astounding $2,595. I'm sorry, but for that sort of investment, I'll head on over to Bottega Veneta. Shop Christian Louboutin at Net-a-Porter.
