Christian Louboutin Justine Bag

Is it just me or has Christian Louboutin lost some of his appeal? Let's face it. His shoes have become a status symbol, which women only wear because nothing elicits envy quite like a red sole. Additionally, Louboutin has stated in several interviews that he places no emphasis on comfort, which is apparent to anyone who has worn his heels. Don't get me wrong. He has lovely designs, but they're becoming increasingly garish and absurdly overpriced. Take the new Justine Bag, for instance. No one appreciates the rocker chic trend as much I do, but it's completely over and hasn't been "in" for years. I mean, when was the last time we lusted over a studded bag? Personally, I don't even find his leather to be of the highest quality. Oh, and why does that shopper have top handles and shoulder straps? To add insult to injury, these bags are available for preorder at Saks Fifth Avenue for an astounding $2,595. I'm sorry, but for that sort of investment, I'll head on over to Bottega Veneta. Chloe Bianca Shoulder Bag

Is it just me or is 2012 flying by? It seems like we just celebrated New Year's Eve and suddenly Memorial Day is upon us. This weekend, I'm dreaming of the minimalist designs and pastel hues of Chloe's Spring collection. From the Marcie Hobo to the Paraty Satchel, I've always been an avid supporter of Chloe's handbags, but the Bianca Shoulder Bag left me wanting more. The incredibly smooth and supple leather is gorgeous, but what's with that flap closure? It makes both sides of the exterior look like the back. While, I adore the vintage vibe of the golden chain-link strap, I certainly don't think it would be comfortable on one's shoulder, particularly if this bag were packed to capacity. The smaller version retails for $3495, while the larger variation is available at Barneys for $3,900. Between the absurd price tag and the odd design, I'll definitely have to pass on this one. However, Chloe will always be one of my favorite brands. Glam's Things We Love Summer Sail

Our New York correspondent, Nicole, had a fabulous time at Glam's 'Things We Love' Summer Sail Event on Wednesday. Having just completed her first year at NYU Law School, it was a wonderfully relaxing start to the summer. She enjoyed spectacular views of the city and shared a delicious lunch with a few fellow fashion bloggers. Nene's Celine Phantom Tote

Nene Leakes stopped by the Wendy Williams Show yesterday to reiterate for the gazillionth time that she is VERY rich promote all of her upcoming projects. In addition to her starring role as Coach Roz on Glee, Nene has joined the cast of The New Normal and, of course, she will be returning for the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. After the interview, Nene was spotted exiting the studio carrying an incredibly chic stamped alligator version of the Celine Phantom Tote. Kate Moss' Fendi 2jours Bag

Supermodel Kate Moss snagged a brand new Fendi 2jours Bag well before it hits stores this Fall. The sizeable tote features a supple chocolate leather exterior as well as ornate velvet embroidery. I always find the pairing of a monochromatic black ensemble with a unique handbag to be incredibly stylish. By the way, Moss' fur cape is also Fendi. Très Parisian chic! I often live vicariously through @Bergdorfs on Twitter, and a few months ago she let us tag along as she traveled to Spain. Best Bet: Affordable Beach Totes

Let's face it! You work hard to get back in shape after the holidays and spend months trying to find the perfect bathing suit that compliments your figure. Solange's Edie Parker 'Flavia' Clutch

I'm sure most of you have seen the red carpet looks from the Met Gala and I, for one, was disappointed. Everyone seemed to have confused the grandest ball of the 21st century with the Academy Awards. Way too many celebs played it safe and, frankly, bored me to tears. The select few who chose to take a risk looked horrific and matronly. Tonight's the night folks. The Met Ball is finally upon us and I, for one, can't wait to see who shows up with whom and what they'll be wearing. Reportedly, Lana Del Ray will be dressed by Joseph Altuzarra, Christina Ricci in Thakoon, Joan Smalls in Balmain and Azealia Banks will be performing in Alexander Wang. As per usual, I'll be paying more attention to what the attendees are carrying, rather than their designer gowns.
