I'm sure most of you have seen the red carpet looks from the Met Gala and I, for one, was disappointed. Everyone seemed to have confused the grandest ball of the 21st century with the Academy Awards. Way too many celebs played it safe and, frankly, bored me to tears. The select few who chose to take a risk looked horrific and matronly. Solange Knowles, however, was head-to-toe perfection in this bright yellow Rachel Roy gown. Her acrylic Edie Parker 'Flavia' Clutch is decked out in gold and silver confetti. Purchase at Barneys for $1,395. Breathtaking accessories from Lady Grey Jewelry completed Solange's golden goddess look. Not to mention her understated makeup and ginormous Diana Ross hair. Classique to the core!

I was hoping you would round up some accessories from the Ball and you did not disappoint with this bag. I loved Solange's look, she always gets it right.
p.s. I know the MK Olsen thing is weird, it's sort of like when you decorate a home and the decorater tells you they want to put one mis-match thing in to balance it all out--I have some strange attraction to the way she wears her clothes, although it doesn't go with my overall style. haha--no accounting for taste!

Yeah, Solange is sort of becoming a style icon for me. It just seems to come so naturally to her. She never looks like she's trying too hard. *Cough* Like her sister. You have flawless taste, but it's usually on the safer side, so I was definitely surprised by your choice of Mary Kate. However, the minimalism speaks to me on some level.
