Last week I received a request from a recent law school graduate, and longtime BagPoor reader, for chic office tote options. She was disappointed with the merchandise that she found in stores and completely unimpressed with the boring briefcases that her friends and coworkers recommended. I certainly understand her predicament. Attorneys have a strict and often stuffy dress code, which can be quite confining for a fashionista. Color-blocking is one of my favorite trends for summer, but of course you wouldn't want to show up at the firm with a bright red, yellow, and green bag. However, one must remember that color-blocking isn't exclusive to bright hues. Take this gorgeous tote from Reed Krakoff's fall collection for example. The mix of several light neutrals is on trend without being over the top. I can't get enough of the supple Nappa leather, but can we talk for a moment about the functionality? Organization is effortless with this sizeable tote. It features two large compartments as well as three pockets, one of which is on the exterior; perfect for grab and go essentials. Pair this tote with a navy power suit for an incredibly stylish office look. Preorder the Editor I Tote at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,090.
