Weekly Fashion Roundup

Speculation about Rihanna's American Vogue spread has quieted. Now that the images have made it to the web, there's nothing left to do but flip (or scroll) through photos and weigh in. I, for one, really liked the cover shot: the sheer mermaid dress and the striking red hair. And of course she's giving us face. Some of my faves, however, were inside the pages.

I especially loved this shot. The navy blue, long sleeved body suit was ridiculously fierce along with the burgundy hued hair and deep red lips. FLY!

In other news, fur was present in a major way on the runways. An array of colors and styles for Fall, gave a playful flair to the sometimes stuffy trend. I've never really been a big fan of fur, but what do you think of Kate Moss's look? The model was seen wearing an Isabel Marant fur coat, with streaks of red around the collar, and various peaks of brown blended throughout.

In case you're wondering, she's carrying a Longchamp handbag that retails for $990. The bag is actually from the brand's Kate Moss collection (of course!). It honestly looks like your standard black tote, and from the pic it seems that she's thrown her life in there, from the stretching/pulling near the straps (I'm guilty too). Overall, it's a mediocre design that clearly can't be overstuffed. I'll pass.

Zoe Kravitz was named one the "Hottest Breakout Stars of 2011" in Rolling Stone, and I'd have to say that I agree that she's definitely on the up-and-comer watch list. Some recent roles she has taken on have been in The Brave One, as well as Yelling to the Sky (with Gabourey Sidibe). I happened to see her in The Greatest (Carey Mulligan played a lead role), and the movie was a pleasant surprise, although on a morbid topic.

While the 22 year old hasn't fallen far from the legacy of her rocker parents, Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, the actress has been in a number of campaigns (Eleven Paris, Alexander Wang) and taken on some solid roles. Can't wait to see more from her!

LOVE Rihanna's Ariel moment on the cover of Vogue. If that's not Little Mermaid chic, then I dunno what is. Kate Moss's coat is heinous and that bag is typical celebrity branding bs.
