Apparently Style.com and Vogue.com are splitzo. At least when it comes to sharing online followers. After Labor Day, a new and improved Vogue.com will launch, and the site will no longer share content with Style.com. Online traffic competitors much? We shall see...

Speaking of Style.com - the site put together a Fall 2010 Buyer's Guide. Some pieces to die for - while some just sported a ghastly price point. Out of 90 selections, these two picks were definitely worth lingering over. The camel coat from Carven (about $1000) and the Jerome C. Rousseau Artemis Boot (priced at $1080) weren't paired together by Style, but they were a match-made in my mind.

When wearing this number, who needs anything else on? Just skip the coat check, give the dance floor a few minutes of flounce - then hit your next destination. Two essential pieces you can re-work and style for years to come.

Don't you ever think a themed wedding gives you a pass for this type of Tom foolery. These poor bridesmaids fell victim to the mermaid themed wedding of Prince Nikoloas of Greece and Tatiana Blatnik's wedding earlier this week. If you're ever requested to put yourself in an unfortunate situation such as this, just imagine yourself dancing to "Money Can't Buy You Class" at the reception. Someone will undoubtedly request it.

There's been chatter that Kimora Lee was booted from Baby Phat. All I have to say about this is, Baby who?? The brand better hope there is something more over-the-top and watch worthy than Kimora and her fab antics, to keep its name alive. I'm guessing there are more google searches for cute baby Kenzo pics, than queries for Baby Phat fashions. I'm just sayin'.

Great job Danielle. I've been waiting for the Style-Vogue split for a while now. I remember being able to just go to style.com w/ no vogue affiliation..lets just say I don't like too much change. lol
Thanks Nina :)
And yes, this split should be interesting. I'm very curious to see what the new vogue website will entail too.
Love this post! The mermaid bridesmaids dresses are tragic to say the least! And glad to see I was not the only one indifferent about Kimora's split from baby phat... now if only Beyonce and her mom would stop... i'm loving the new ads though, even though she stole her legging design from a Euro based designer.
Welcome Danielle! Vogue is doing WAY too much lately.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)
And yes Ola, House of Dereon REALLY needs to stop! lol
