The quality and fabulous modern aesthetic of Jil Sander bags is bound to be eye-candy in anyone's hands. Although bags with decorative detailing appeal to me, I am always impressed with the pristine simplicity of Jil Sander creations. The Half Frame bag features rich, textured black leather and an optional shoulder strap, which offers versatility. The only detail keeping me from drooling over this design is the half frame closure. I'm just not sold on zipping one side of my purse and clasping the other. This feature sounds like a brilliant and unique idea, but no one actually wants to unclasp and unzip their handbag every time their phone rings. Not to mention the fact that it just looks silly! I think a full push lock closure would have completed the sleek and refined look that is true to Jil Sander. Purchase at Barneys New York for $1895.

I couldn't agree with you more Nina! If that silly half frame would have been left on the cutting room floor, this would have been a gorgeous everyday bag.
I agree Nina. I even think this bag is a little too "ordinary" on the outside, and I am usually a sucker for anything framed and simple. This just doesn't do it for me...
not a fan of the side zipper either . but you can tell it's well constructed, beautifully made.
