Sequins are one of the biggest trends of the season, and contrary to popular belief, they can be quite chic on large bags, especially when paired with a monochromatic black outfit that's mostly Balmain. The black leather tote is completely enveloped in silver and black sequins. Sequins can be over the top glam, but on such a timeless bag with a classic shape... they totally work. I will say, I love sequins and sparkle, anytime of day! I have seen the leather version of this bag IRL and it just isn't functional, as much as I would like it to be because I love Miu Miu. It is hard to get in and out of and if you try to leave it unlocked, it just slouches and looks sloppy. At the least they could have put an outside zippered pocket in the rear of the bag for more functionality.

lol gail...you're addicted to outside zippered pockets, but I totally understand. i thought that the belts helped with the slouchy shape, but flap fronts can be annoying.
Sequins are OK for me, but only on a very small bag and definitely for use during the evening and beyond. I'm sad to report that the only women around Miami that carry sequined anything during the day are walking up and down Eighth Street or Biscayne Blvd. To each his own I guess.
