I can't get enough of the Gucci Spring Summer handbags. After spotting this top handle in the ad campaign and on the runway, I immediately fell in love. But I needed to see it in person before I could confidently recommend it to all of you. And I'm glad I waited because the smaller version is an epic fail. The bamboo handle is so oversized that the bag appears miniature and almost childlike. Not to mention the fact that it can't hold very much with a width of only 4". The larger version, however, is perfection, especially in this breathtaking grey crocodile skin. I love the bamboo detailing on the handle, fringed zipper fobs, and turn-lock closure. It's a lovely alternative to the traditional Gucci monogram as well as the red and green striped web design. Only real bag addicts will know that it's Gucci and everyone else will want to know where they can get one. Preorder directly from Gucci for $15500. Ouch...that hurts!
Obviously not everyone can afford the obnoxiously expensive crocodile variation, but no worries. The black leather adaptation is just as drool-inducing and the bamboo handle features threaded leather, which I actually prefer. The shoulder straps will come in handy when you need to go hands free and, when not in use, they give the bag a bit of rocker chick edge. It measures 14.2"L x 6.3"W x 8.7"H and is available for preorder at Gucci for $2350.

Oh no...I'm starting to worry about this bag you guys. I'm hearing that the crocodile skin isn't pretty IRL and when I saw the leather versions, I only liked it in black. Yikes!
Michael, you heard right. ITA that the larger size is more proportional, but I saw the croc version at Gucci and it looked, dare I say it, cheap. It's one of the worst croc bags I've ever seen.
Wow Dania...that's a shame! So I guess the black version is the only contender because the white, monogram and metallic variations are fugly. And the brown...zzzzzzzzzzz.
The large black version was the only good one of the bunch. You're 1000% right about that. When you get to see that croc bag IRL, you'll cringe in disbelief.
Hmmm I like the handle but not the rest of the bag!
oh noooo...that croc looks beautiful in pictures. That makes me sad. Good job with that investigation. Its better to know before seeing it and being disappointed.
Oh..I love that silver bamboo handle bag too.
Well i really like this collection that bamboo strap handle look fabulous and i wish i could get some bag like this.
I finally saw the crocodile version of this bag IRL yesterday and you all were absolutely correct! It looks soooo cheap! I expressed my concerns to the Store Manager and apparently a lot of people have been saying the same thing. Unbelievable for such an expensive bag. I suggested that they pull it from the shelves. It was a real eye sore.
