Jil Sander Cervo Classic Satchel

I absolutely adore the look of this bag. What's not to love? The sumptuous pebbled leather, Italian craftsmanship and simple design all scream "buy me." There's only one problem with this satchel...and it's majah! How the heck do you access the contents without getting strange looks of bewilderment and pity? Let me just set up a scenario. You're standing at the grocery store and you need to get the Valextra wallet out of your brand new Jil Sander Cervo Satchel. First you have to unsnap the ginormous flap from the bottom of the bag and proceed to loosen the buckle strap. Now you're really in trouble. Because the top handle is connected to the flap that you just unsnapped, you have about 3 seconds before everything in your bag hits the floor. And by everything...I mean EVERYTHING because this bag is over 20" wide and like Nina always says, the more room you have...the more crap you carry around with you. Nice try Raf Simons...but it's time to go back to the drawing board on this one.

This one gets an A+ for effort, and A for look and a D- for funtionality. What an impratical bag. Maybe streamlining the flap and allowing the handle to rest on the actual body of the bag would help.

I liked the bag on first impression, but then thought the same thing regarding functionality. Also, maybe a little too "Hermes" wannabe?

Uh-oh... too complicated for me. Can you imagine standing in front of a subway turnstile, trying to unlock the bag to find your Metro card, while 116 angry commuters are waiting behind you?

Love this! So classic, chic and the leather looks buttery!

I don't know how you girls do it in NYC Couture Cookie! You certainly have to have extremely functional bags, supportive shoes and comfortable/weather appropriate clothing.
