Jerome Dreyfuss Bob Hobo

Sorry Alexander Wang, Jerome Dreyfuss has officially replaced you as the "go-to" designer for achieving that model off duty look that is so hot right now. The Bob bag is my favorite piece in the Spring 2010 collection. Simplistic stitching, minimal stud detailing, an understated embossed logo, and matte brass hardware all reflect that edgy chic aesthetic that Jerome Dreyfuss has become known for. The supple pebbled lambskin comes in luscious cognac and dark moka chocolate. Both versions are neutrals that will never go out of style and can be paired with anything in your closet. Like most Jerome Dreyfuss bags, it has a multitude of pockets and a very large capacity, measuring 15"H x 18.5"L x 6.5W, perfect for women who can't leave home without the kitchen sink. Additionally, the 9" handle drop will accommodate any shoulder. The Bob bag was made in France and it's available at shopbop.com for $842.

I've noticed a preference for caramel colored leather bags on your blog - which I thoroughly LOVE. :D

The black one is so chic, Michael. Love, love, love it! All these designers giving us great leather bags for under $1000 are really giving the high-end labels a run for their money.

The "black" one is actually a REALLY dark brown. I completely agree with you Dania! High end labels need to lower their prices. More than $2000 for a leather bag just isn't justified.

Michael, thanks for featuring this amazing bag. To add to what you and Dania have said, it is refreshing to see such a chic, well-designed bag constructed of sumptuous materials - and for under $1000 and made in France, not CHINA! Love it!

Buyers beware!! I have a Jerome Dreyfuss bag. The quality is extremely poor. After using it for about 10 times, the pony skin is totally rubbed off. Worse still, the store manager didn't even try to resolve the issue. They charge prices that rival top designer brands but the quality is worse than bags from the street.
