Weekly Fashion Roundup!

Steven Klein shot my girl, Lara Stone, in blackface makeup for a spread styled by French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. A lot of people feel that it is distasteful...but I love it! She looks gorgeous. Maybe they should make Jourdan Dunn white or Chanel Iman (more) Asian for the next issue?!?

I'm addicted to Rodarte for Target! It's white trash glam at its finest! We're talking neon organza, animal prints, combat boots, denim booty shorts and high-waist lace tights. I only have one problem with the collection. Nothing about it says Rodarte to me!

More fashion news after the jump...

  • Lindsay Lohan is the epitome of a train wreck! Word on the street is that she borrowed accessories from Arielle de Pinto for a shoot and a party she attended while in Paris. Well...she never returned the pieces and the credit card she gave them, just in case she stole accidently forgot to return the jewelry, has been cancelled!

  • Christian Dior just launched a new collection of cell phones, ranging in price from $6,500 to $13,400 for the diamond encrusted version. Call me crazy, but I kind of want the black one.

I have to say I didn't feel the blackface/body thing. Couldn't they have just hired a black model?? The threads and photography are amazing however.

Michael,

thanks so much for your sweet words on my blog! You put a smile on my face.

Checked your blog - do you have any idea how inspiring is what you do?? :)

omg Steven Klein shoot with Lara Stone is beyond incredible. Only certain type of people can find it distasteful. Also to call it's distasteful is an insult to all the amazing visionaries that's been putting it together. This whole concept is precisely what makes it so interesting and unusual. It would destroy the purpose had they used a black model. And i would say exactly the same if they painted a black girl white. Thanks so much for posting.

Best of everything

Keep in touch.
